To qualify as "successfully completing" the summer 2003 Teacher Research Experience, participating teachers are expected to do the following. The second and third stipend payment, and the transfer fund check, will be conditional upon completion of the items below by the dates indicated in the calendar. Please print this page and use it as a guide and check-list.

1. Attendance at all weekly meetings (absences must be approved in advance)
2. Cheerful and willing participation in all assessment activities, including the scheduled focus group meetings
3. Completion of the pre-test
4. Daily journal entries
5. Weekly meetings with the Project Specialists
6. Completion of the post-test
7. Completion of the project evaluation form
8. Submission of the journal, *implementation plan, and project summary at the end of the project.

*The implementation paln is a written description of new exercises based on elements of the summer research experience. Teachers will have the assistance of the SMTEI Project Specialists in completing this task. The project summary is a brief description of the summer experience written by the teacher that will be published on the SMTEI Web site.
